Genius Hour - Brain Surgery

We have started Genius Hour in our classroom.
Each student is choosing something that they are passionate about.
Javiyah is really interested in finding out about the brain.
Here she is constructing a model brain, just like a surgeon.
It feels squishy, just like a real brain.

Maori with Whaea Trish - Term 4 Week 2

We enjoyed revising some of the movements we learnt in Maori in Term 2.
Here we are playing a game similar to Simon Says.

Ko wai to ingoa?
Ko Sourav taku ingoa.

Ko wai to mama?
Ko Liz toku mama. (Alex's mum)

Ko wai to papa?
Ko Francis toku papa. (Nikora's dad)

We will be writing our Pepeha next week.
If your family has a significant mountain, waterway that they identify with, then you will be able to write this into your Pepeha.

Term 4 has arrived!

Welcome back!
We have jumped straight into learning this term.
Last term we shared personal stories of being in the "Learning Pit".
We know that when we are at the bottom of the pit, it is just part of our learning.
We have just started to think and find out about Mindset.
Please look at and watch the following links that illustrate Mindset so well.

We have learnt that it is ok to fail. We learn from our failures.
Learning is Hard Fun!

The Walker's at the All Blacks game on Saturday night

This is Connor and his family, dressed to impress and showing what true All Black fans they are, at the Bledisloe Cup match against Australia at Eden Park on Saturday.
This is what you call dedication and commitment.

Jadyn's Sugar Glider Report

She edited and reworked this piece of writing, finally publishing it.
