The Boy on Fairfield Street - The story of Dr Seuss

This afternoon we were working on writing our dreams (goals) and our action plans (what we are going to do to achieve these goals).
We decided to take a break, sit outside and enjoy the story of Dr Seuss.
The Boy on Fairfield Street is a fantastically written biography of where Dr Seuss grew up, his background and how he found his passion for illustrating and writing.  We learnt that he grew up in a town called Springfield in the USA.  We decided that it wasn't the same town where The Simpsons cartoon is based.
Dr Seuss or Theodor Seuss Geisel (Ted) was born to German parents.  He loved doodling and writing funny stories about the things he saw in the world.  He also spent a lot of time at a zoo because his father ran it. We discovered that he often didn't fit into what other people thought was "normal".  A square peg in a round hole.
This book was written for children.  It relates to our Dream documents (goal setting) that we are working on at the moment.
Here we are, relaxing and listening to The Boy on Fairfield Street.
